Beni Khadash is a town in the Medenine Governorate of southeastern Tunisia, nestled between the Dhahar Mountains and the Sahara Desert. It is characterized by its mountainous landscape and rich heritage. It is famous for its rock-carved mountain palaces and the underground Aloula Mosque. It is also known as the "City of Quran Reciters" due to the large number of Quran memorizers residing there. Its population was approximately 26,847 in 2024. Beni Khadash is a popular tourist destination thanks to its natural scenery, the Dhahar region, and its traditional festivals, such as the "Gharbouz" festival dedicated to dried figs and the Zemmour Festival Terkking.
